A work in progress, Homegrown (stylized “homegrown”) is an open-source multiplayer game I’m building in the Godot Game Engine. The central idea: start on a small, abandoned island and grow a little home there. I am creating it both as a fun game and as an educational resource for game developers, so its codebase is always improving and becoming more readable as I learn. It’s written in GDScript, a language similar to Python.
